Wonderful, whimsical words!

We have been learning about using beautiful language. Too often people use boring and uninspiring words and don't learn to enjoy language. The word "very" has been banned from our classroom. Instead of saying "very tired", say "exhausted", instead of using the expression "very weird", try saying "bizarre". Words are a lot of fun and we want to use them properly!

We used a thesaurus to find fabulous alternatives to ordinary words. Here is our list, what do you think of it?

Math Outside!

On Monday, we had an Education Outside the Classroom (EOC) day.

We used the pavement and chalk instead of our workbooks and pencils. We worked in groups to solve logic puzzles in Math. We had to draw graphs, explain our steps and solve the problems as a team.

We had a lot of fun working in the sunshine and we learnt a lot about Math. We hope we can do more EOC in the future!
